Liquor Outlets to Remain Shut in Parts of Secunderabad from August 2 to 4
Police have appealed to the public to cooperate with the temporary restrictions and assist the authorities in ensuring a peaceful and smooth conduct of the Bonalu festivities.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Police have ordered the temporary closure of liquor outlets in parts of Secunderabad in view of the Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Jathara (Bonalu) 2026 to ensure the smooth conduct of the festivities.
According to the order, all wine shops, toddy shops, and bars attached to restaurants within the Market and Gopalapuram Police Station limits in the Malkajgiri Zone will remain closed from 6 am on August 2 until 6 am on August 4.
The restrictions have been imposed as part of the security and law-and-order arrangements for the annual Bonalu celebrations, which attract large numbers of devotees to the Ujjaini Mahankali Temple in Secunderabad.
