Hyderabad: The 7.5-km stretch from MG Bus Station to Chandrayangutta is progressing rapidly. Land acquisition and demolition are underway with local support, supervised by Hyderabad Airport Metro Limited, Revenue, and Police teams.

Compensation of Rs 212 crore has been distributed for 205 of 1,100 affected properties, says Metro MD N.V.S. Reddy.

Engineering teams are safely removing entangled cables to facilitate demolition. Mr. Reddy praised property owners for accepting government compensation and handing over properties. Several structures are demolished, debris cleared, and precautions taken to protect nearby sensitive structures.
Work slowed during Ramzan but has regained momentum. Per CM Revanth Reddy’s directives, expansion is fast-tracked, awaiting Central Government approval to begin construction.
