Kuda Chief Completes One Year In Office
Other notable achievements are approval for 27 new Kuda employees; initiation of land pooling over 100 acres; and settlement of more than Rs 107 crore in long-pending land acquisition payments for the Inner Ring Road
WARANGAL: KUDA chairman Enagala Venkatram Reddy highlighted significant achievements and ongoing projects shaping Warangal’s future on the successful completion of his first year in office, in a statement released here in Hanamkonda on Sunday.
He stated that, since taking charge in July 2024, Kuda has made rapid progress on multiple fronts. Completed initiatives include the finalisation and launch of the Warangal Master Plan 2041, covering 181 villages and 1,805 km², by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy; and the completion of the Kaloji Convention Centre in Balasamudram at a cost of Rs 95 crore, also inaugurated by the Chief Minister.
Other notable achievements are approval for 27 new Kuda employees; initiation of land pooling over 100 acres; and settlement of more than Rs 107 crore in long-pending land acquisition payments for the Inner Ring Road. Kuda also played a vital role in the successful hosting of the Miss World 2025 tour and events in Warangal, boosting the district’s global image. Additionally, Elkathurthy Junction, a new gateway developed at a cost of Rs 4 crore, was completed.
Several major projects are underway at a rapid pace, including the 13-km Inner Ring Road and Rail Over Bridge (Rs 150 crore), and extensive beautification of the Bhadrakali Temple precinct: desilting the lake, constructing Mada Veedulu, and creating Navagraha islands in the middle of Bhadrakali Lake. The long-abandoned Kakatiya Musical Garden is also being renovated.
Looking ahead, proposed projects include a 41-km Outer Ring Road (ORR), a cable car and glass bridge at Bhadrakali Lake, and an expansion of the Warangal Master Plan.
“We envision Warangal as the next burgeoning IT hub, and this dream can only become a reality under the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and the Congress government. I extend my sincere thanks to the Chief Minister, his Cabinet, and the MLAs of Warangal District for this opportunity to serve the people,” he said.
