KTR Fires Back at Revanth Over Drug Allegations
Rama Rao asked what the basis for Revanth Reddy’s statements on Thursday in Delhi were based on
HYDERABAD: BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday demanded a full and unqualified apology from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy “for slanderous allegations” that he, Rama Rao, was being “investigated in drug cases.”
Rama Rao, in a statement, castigated Revanth Reddy saying the Chief Minister who had already crossed and surpassed all levels of decency, on Thursday “threw unsubstantiated filth at me in the guise of chit chats so that he can escape legal accountability.”
The BRS leader told Revanth Reddy: “Until now, I had exercised restraint out of respect for the Chief Minister's office. I will not stand down anymore. Revanth Reddy, I will drag you to the courts and make you pay for every slanderous statement of yours. Apologise or face the consequences.”
Rama Rao asked what the basis for Revanth Reddy’s statements on Thursday in Delhi were based on. “Do you have even had an iota of proof? Is there any case registered? I challenge you to openly come out and show the evidences you have to substantiate your statements. Or accept this is just another cheap, vulgar, baseless narrative of yours,” Rama Rao said.
Meanwhile, senior BRS leader T. Harish Rao strongly criticised Revanth Reddy for allegations against Rama Rao saying the Chief Minister must either produce evidence to back his claims or tender an unconditional apology to Rama Rao. Harish Rao said, “Revanth Reddy runs away from any debate or discussion but finds time to level baseless allegations, and his comments on Rama Rao today are yet another example of the low levels Revanth stoops to when he has nothing substantial to counter Rama Rao exposing Revanth’s failures.”
