 Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao appealed to party activists to celebrate the Formation Day on June 2, saying that statehood had been achieved after a relentless 14-year-long struggle by party chief K. Chandrashekar Rao. He directed cadres across the state to celebrate the day hoisting the National Flag and the BRS flag at the party offices.

Rama Rao recalled that the sacrifices of martyrs, the efforts of government employees, the struggles of students, and the collective efforts of various communities which realised the six-decade-old dream of statehood. He stated that the first ten years of Telangana had become a model for the country.

Rama Rao stated that every idea conceived by Telangana's first Chief Minister had served as a guiding light for many state governments as well as the Centre.
