KARIMNAGAR: In a tragic incident, 41-year-old Sriramula Sridhar of Korutla mandal in Jagtial district suffered a fatal heart attack while aboard a flight home to reunite with his family. Locals report that Sridhar had worked as a labourer in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, for the past 20 years and was returning after experiencing health issues. He boarded the flight to Hyderabad eager to see his loved ones, but during the journey he developed severe breathing difficulties and alerted the crew. The pilots executed an emergency landing in Mumbai, where medical personnel administered CPR; however, he was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.

A pall of gloom settled over Korutla upon news of Sridhar’s sudden passing. His body was brought back to his hometown, and his family performed the final rites on Thursday. In the wake of their loss, local leaders have appealed to the state government for support, noting that Sridhar had been unable to send money home while working abroad. They have requested that the government provide the family with an Indiramma house to ease their financial burden.
