Kishan Reddy to Tour Chevella to Review Centrally Funded Infra Projects, Says Konda Vishweshwar Reddy
Vishweshwar Reddy said the Chevella–Vikarabad–Vijayapura national highway, for which he had secured approval during his first term, had resumed and was progressing and was expected to be completed within six months.
Hyderabad:Union minister G. Kishan Reddy will undertake an extensive tour of the Chevella parliamentary constituency on Sunday, visiting Chevella, Vikarabad and Tandur to review development works funded by the Centre, BJP Chevella MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy said on Saturday.
The MP told the media that he would accompany the minister and inspect on-site progress of infrastructure projects being executed with Central funds. He claimed that over 90 per cent of road construction and basic infrastructure work in the constituency was being realised through national highway allocations, the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF), PM Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), MGNREGS and MPLADS resources.
Vishweshwar Reddy said the Chevella–Vikarabad–Vijayapura national highway, for which he had secured approval during his first term, had resumed and was progressing and was expected to be completed within six months. The Manneguda–Vijayapura highway stretch is also taking shape, he added.
As part of the tour, Kishan Reddy will inspect modernisation works at Vikarabad and Tandur railway stations being upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme with modern `airport-like’ standards, the MP said. The minister will later participate in the Prime Minister’s Mann Ki Baat programme and attend a CSR-funded community development initiative by a local NGO. After presiding over the oath-taking of the new Vikarabad district BJP president, he will proceed to the Mahbubnagar leg of the tour.
Vishweshwar Reddy also hit out at the state government, alleging that farmers, students and unemployed youth were facing severe hardships due to misgovernance. He said BJP MPs, MLAs and senior leaders had adopted a coordinated strategy to press for solutions, with immediate focus on polytechnic student grievances, unemployment and agrarian distress. “In the coming days, we will roll out a phased plan of public agitations on student and farmer issues,” Vishweshwar Reddy said.
