Kishan Reddy Accuses Congress of Diluting Phone-Tapping Case
Kishan Reddy said that the false campaign and frustrated campaign by Revanth Reddy would serve as a blessing for the BJP, as people know how the Congress had cheated them in its 14 month rule
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP chief and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy said that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy had hurriedly jumped into Legislative Council election campaign out of fear of losing the elections and that his late charge would not affect the outcome.
Charging that Revanth Reddy had tried to spread blatant lies in his election campaign meeting earlier in the day on Monday, Kishan Reddy said that there was no difference between BRS leader K. Chandrashekar Rao and Revanth Reddy, and accused the Congress government of diluting the phone-tapping case as per a secret deal with BRS leaders.
Talking to reporters, Kishan Reddy said that the BJP would not ignore the phone-tapping case even if Revanth Reddy tried to dilute it. “The BJP has lodged a PIL in the High Court on the phone tapping case and the hearing is in progress. If the Congress government hands over the case to the CBI, BJP will ensure to expose the persons behind it,” he said and accused the Congress of entering into secret deals with BRS, MIM and anti-nationals.
He said it was the BJP that had proposed the Regional Ring Road (RRR), and was not against the Musi rejuvenation project. “We are only seeking protection of the houses belonging to the poor. But, Revanth tried to spread lies in the election campaign that the BJP was against the Musi project and the RRR, Kishan Reddy said.
Kishan Reddy said that the false campaign and frustrated campaign by Revanth Reddy would serve as a blessing for the BJP, as people know how the Congress had cheated them in its 14 month rule. Stating that people were aware of the secret deals and understandings between BRS and Congress, Kishan Reddy pointed out that the BRS had supported and involved in the election campaign for a Congress candidate when the BJP had fielded a tribal candidate, Droupadi Murmu, for the presidential election.
