Two Killed, Three Injured in Car Accident Near Khammam
The accident reportedly took place when the car driver attempted to overtake a lorry. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
Khammam: Two people died and three others were severely injured after an overspeeding car lost control and overturned on the Greenfield Highway near Muthagudem in Khammam district in the late hours of Saturday.
According to reports, the victims were natives of Yerraguntapadu village in Chintalapudi mandal of Eluru district. They had gone to Khammam for shopping and were returning home when the accident occurred.
The accident reportedly took place when the car driver attempted to overtake a lorry. The driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
The deceased were shifted to a government hospital for post-mortem examination. The injured were initially taken to Penuballi Government Hospital and later shifted to Khammam Government Hospital for further treatment.
Penuballi police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
