Khammam Class X Student Dies by Suicide After Parental Reprimand

Khammam: A Class X student, identified as M. Lakshmi Nakshatra, died by suicide on Monday afternoon.

According to the police, Lakshmi Nakshatra, a student at a private school in Khammam, was attending only the afternoon slip test sessions due to health issues. On Monday, she went to buy a pen but returned home late, leading to her mother scolding her as the exam time approached. Hurt by the reprimand, Lakshmi left home ostensibly for school but instead went to the nearby railway tracks, where she ended her life. Locals discovered her body on the tracks and informed the police, who are investigating the incident.
