Khaja Moizuddin Murder Case: Hyderabad Court Grants Police 2-Day Custody of A2 Mahbb Alam Khan

Investigations in the case were continuing, police sources said.

Hyderabad:A city criminal court at Nampally on Monday granted the police two-day custody of Mahbb Alam Khan, second accused in the murder of Wakf activist and High Court advocate Khaja Moizuddin. His son Mujahid Alam Khan is the prime accused in the murder which occurred on May 23.

The XII Additional Metropolitan Chief Judicial Magistrate Sessions Judge pronounced the order in response to the petition filed by investigation officer on June 22 in Crime No. 206 of 2026 of Nampally police. The court granted the Nampally station house offer the custody of Mahbub Alam Khan from August 6 till August 7.

The court said he will be in the custody of the Nampally SHO from 10 am on August 6 till 4.30 pm on August 7. The court directed that the police shall not use any threat, coercion or third degree methods against the accused during the course of interrogation.

After completion of the interrogation, the accused shall be medically examined and produced before XII Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Hyderabad, by 4.30 pm on August 7 without fail, the judge said.

The superintendent jailor at the Chanchalguda Central Prison was directed to hand over custody of Mahbub Alam Khan to the SHO, Nampally by 10 am on August 6.

Investigations in the case were continuing, police sources said.
