Hyderabad: Former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao on Wednesday surrendered his diplomatic passport and applied for a regular passport at the Regional Passport Office in Secunderabad in the morning. He was accompanied by his wife Shobha Rao.

He had acquired a diplomatic passport as Chief Minister in 2014. At the RPO, Rao was greeted by regional passport officer G Snehaja. The former chief minister spent around 20 minutes at the office before leaving for his residence in Nandinagar, Banjara Hills.
