God KCR in Devils' Ring, Says Kavitha
Kavitha, who appeared in a buoyant mood, said the Congress and the BJP appear thrilled over her letter, as if the BRS is in trouble.
Hyderabad: BRS MLC K. Kavitha on Friday said party president and her father K. Chandrashekar Rao “is God. But he is surrounded by devils who are causing a lot of damage to the party.”
Kavitha acknowledged that she did write the letter, that leaked to the media on Thursday, to Rao and sparked off widespread speculation. She was speaking with reporters at the Shamshabad airport after her return from the USA with her family.
Though hundreds of her supporters reached the airport to greet her, there were no BRS flags or banners at the airport and pink, the party colour, was conspicuously absent. Many carried her cutouts and banners proclaiming her role in working for social justice in Telangana, and some raised “CM, CM” slogans as she walked out to her waiting supporters.
Kavitha, reiterated the charges she had levelled during an informal interaction with reporters on May 12, that some people in the party were targeting her, and stated: “I already said there were conspiracies against me. My letter was confidential, and there needs to be a discussion on how it got leaked, and what is happening in the party. That is why I am talking today.”
She added: “Those in the party and people in the state should think about how this letter was revealed. It is painful about the leak. If KCR’s daughter’s letter is leaked, then what is the fate of the ordinary party worker?”
Kavitha said that she had toured half of Telangana and her letter expressed the views that she had gathered from party cadres and leaders. “I have no personal agenda. My letter was confidential, to my leader. Who is behind the leak? KCR garu is our leader, and it is only under his leadership that Telangana will prosper. I have always written to my father whenever I needed to give feedback. The letter was not against KCR or the party. This was feedback to strengthen the party,” she said.
Kavitha, who appeared in a buoyant mood, said the Congress and the BJP appear thrilled over her letter, as if the BRS is in trouble. “The BJP and the Congress did nothing for Telangana and failed the state. KCR’s leadership is the only alternative for Telangana,” she said.
