Telangana Rakshana Sena president Kalvakuntla Kavitha demanded that families who lost their land for the Kazipet Railway Coach Factory be provided employment opportunities at the facility. She also sought priority in recruitment for land oustees and local youth, assuring them that she would put pressure on the Centre on the issue.

Kavitha held an interaction with families affected by the coach factory project on Monday. She first visited Ayodhya Puram village near the factory and met farmers who had surrendered their land for the project, enquiring about their problems. She later visited the railway coach factory premises and interacted with land oustees and local youth.

The affected families apprised Kavitha of the difficulties they were facing and their concerns over employment opportunities. After hearing them, she said families who had given up their land should be provided employment and stressed that local youth should be given priority in jobs created at the factory.

“Justice must be done to the families who gave their land for the coach factory. I will put pressure on the Centre to ensure employment opportunities for land oustees and local youth. I will speak to Union ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay on the issue and continue my efforts until employment opportunities are provided,” Kavitha said.

She demanded that the sacrifices made by farmers who surrendered their land be recognised and that they be provided adequate livelihood and employment opportunities.
