Hyderabad:Telangana Jagruthi leader K. Kavitha came under a bitter attack from the BRS on Tuesday with party MLC Thakkellapalli Ravinder Rao likening her to a “mangy dog”, saying she was indulging in blackmail politics and was on the path to political suicide and stating that the “consequences” would not be good for her.

Rao said Kavitha was being used by the Congress in the state and the BJP at the Centre to create a rift in the family of BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao. “This is the only way those two parties can try to weaken KCR, and they are trying to do this through Kavitha,” he said.

“If she continues to act in this manner, then people may start seeing her as a ‘devil’ born to KCR. People have Telangana are seeing through her actions. The BRS has overcome many challenges in the past, both in the 14 years of statehood struggle and when in power. The party will overcome this one too,” MLC Ravinder Rao said during an interaction with the media.

Rao alleged that while Kavitha’s criticism of Chandrashekar Rao the BRS made it appear as if she was on a path to political suicide.

“She keeps saying more and more things hoping that we will react. We are not required to react but she has been asking for this,” Ravinder Rao said. “It is almost like a mad mangy dog that chases and tries to bite anyone it sees on the street. She should know that the consequences will not be good for her," the BRS MLC said.
