Kakatiya Express Stopped At Karepalli station For An Hour As Monkey Hits Power Line

Nalgonda:The Kakatiya Express, travelling from Kothagudem to Secunderabad, was halted for an hour at Karepalli railway station in Khammam district on Monday due to damage to the overhead electricity line.

An overhead line wire was severed when a monkey came into contact with it, leading to the stoppage of the Kakatiya Express and causing severe inconvenience to passengers. Railway engineers promptly swung into action and restored the electricity line on a war footing. The train, which had stopped at Karepalli railway station at 7 am, resumed its journey to Secunderabad at 8 am.
