Hyderabad:The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has stepped up to equip educators with skills in cybersecurity and forensics. The university’s Centre of Excellence in Cybersecurity, under the Directorate of Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Startups (DEIS), inaugurated a 15-day online faculty development programme (FDP), drawing experts from top institutions and industries across India.

The event was inaugurated by JNTU-H Vice Chancellor Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, who spoke about the importance of adopting new technologies in academia.

TCS academic co-innovation head, C.V. Sridhar, stressed the critical need for cybersecurity skills in the digital age. His insights set the stage for an intensive learning experience aimed at equipping faculty members with the expertise to address contemporary cybersecurity challenges.

The FDP has attracted 51 participants from institutions including the University of Hyderabad, Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Osmania University and Nalsar University of Law, and key government bodies like the Central Forensic Science Laboratory and Telangana State Forensic Laboratory.

Industry players such as TCS, CDAC-Hyderabad, Corning Optical Communications (Dubai) and Qclairvoyance Quantum Labs are contributing to the knowledge exchange.
