Siddi Vinayaka Temple Celebrates 226 Years

The 226th anniversary (jayanti) celebrations began at the Siddi Vinayaka temple in Rejinthal village of Nyalkal mandal on Sunday. The festivities will be held from December 21 to 25. Large numbers of devotees attended the opening day of the celebrations, with several couples participating in special homams. A Laksha Pushparchana programme was also conducted on the occasion.
Devotees from the Telugu states, as well as Karnataka and Maharashtra, took part in the celebrations. Temple authorities said the Siddi Vinayaka idol is believed to grow in size every year, a phenomenon that continues to attract devotees in large numbers.
The temple committee has made elaborate arrangements for the convenience of pilgrims. Special bus services have been arranged from various parts of Sangareddy district, along with Karnataka and Maharashtra.
On the first day itself, the Siddi Vinayaka temple witnessed a heavy influx of devotees, officials said.
