Jagtial Health Officer Dies of Cardiac Arrest
Dr Srinivas had recently assumed charge as the in-charge DMHO of the district following the transfer of the previous officer.
Karimnagar: District Medical and Health Officer (DM&HO) Dr Akula Srinivas, 57, died after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest at his residence in Jagtial town early on Saturday.
He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. Dr Srinivas had recently assumed charge as the in-charge DMHO of the district following the transfer of the previous officer. Earlier, he served as a Programme Officer in the Health Department and was known for his dedicated service.
The news of his death sent shockwaves across Jagtial, his hometown. Colleagues and residents remembered Dr. Srinivas as a gentle and compassionate professional who maintained close ties with local residents, walkers’ associations and various social groups.
District officials, political leaders and medical staff expressed deep grief over his passing, describing it as a significant loss to the district’s healthcare administration. Senior officials and members of the local walkers’ association visited his family to offer condolences.
