Nalgonda: Bhadrachalam Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) project officer B. Rahul on Friday asked headmasters and teachers of Ashram High Schools (AHS) and Government Primary Schools (GPS) run by the Tribal Welfare Department to work towards ensuring 10/10 grade results for Class X students in the annual examinations.

He conducted a surprise visit to the AHS (Boys) at Palwancha in Bhadradri Kothagudem district and interacted with students. Addressing them, the ITDA project officer said Udheepakam workbooks had been designed and supplied to tribal students to improve their understanding of lessons and enhance the quality of education in AHS and GPS institutions meant exclusively for tribal children.

He urged students to focus seriously on their studies in the run-up to the annual examinations and to clarify doubts with the help of subject teachers. He also directed teachers to conduct study hours and slip tests, particularly for students lagging behind in English, Mathematics, Science and Telugu.

Referring to the poor performance of Class X students of the Palwancha AHS in previous academic years, he said no student should fail in the current academic year. He announced that he would revisit the school after a month to assess students’ subject-wise progress.
