Peddapalli: Iron Cluster Collapse at ROB Disrupts Train Services
Repair work on the cluster is underway, but the disruption has led to 15 trains being stopped at stations including Peddapalli, Raghavapuram, Kolanur, Jammikunta, and Mancherial.
Hyderabad: Repair work on the Road Overbridge (ROB) near Peddapalli, roughly 200 km from Secunderabad, was disrupted on Friday when a steel girder collapsed at the site.
The accident forced several trains to halt, with the Bhagyanagar Express worst affected. The train was held at Raghavapuram for four hours on the busy line connecting Sirpur Kagaznagar. Although services eventually resumed, multiple trains experienced significant delays.
Passengers aboard the halted services complained that railway officials failed to provide timely updates or clear information about the incident and subsequent rescheduling.
Train services between Kazipet and Ballarshah were disrupted when the construction cluster broke during the ROB work at Kunaram in Peddapalli district.
