KARIMNAGAR: Police officials on Wednesday arrested three members of an inter-district burglary gang involved in several theft cases and recovered 45 grams of gold, 1,340 grams of silver ornaments, ₹1.40 lakh in cash, two bags of rice, some brass utensils, and materials used for stealing from their possession in Karimnagar district.

According to Police Commissioner Gouse Alam, the accused were identified as brothers Teku Ganga Sailu (55) and Teku Bhumaiah (48), residents of Dikampalli village in Nizamabad district, and daily wage labourers. To fund a lavish lifestyle with easy money, the brothers turned to crime and began stealing valuable items.

The stolen items were sold to Bhartha Ekantha Shelke (34), a native of Solapur, Maharashtra, and currently residing in Manjulapur, Nirmal district, who has also been arrested.

CP Gouse Alam appreciated the police team, which included ACP N. Venkataswamy, Manakondur Inspector Sanjeev, and other personnel, for successfully busting the gang.
