Innaiah Recruited People for Maoists
During the funeral, which was attended by at least 200 people, Inna Reddy spoke to encourage and motivate youth towards radicalisation.
Hyderabad: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said former Maoist leader Gade Inna Reddy, also known as Gade Innaiah, arrested on Sunday, was in contact with various persons who were under its investigation for recruiting people for the Maoists and arranging funding.
In its remand report, the NIA said Innaiah had participated in the funeral of Katha Ramachnadra Reddy alias Vikalp, Maoist central committee member, which was organised by Amarula Bandhu Mitrula Sangham, a frontal organisation of the banned outfit.
"During the funeral, which was attended by at least 200 people, Inna Reddy spoke to encourage and motivate youth towards radicalisation. The accused also propagated the Maoist ideology and incited the people to commit unlawful activities," the NIA said.
The NIA said that it has registered cases based on tip off from the ministry of home affairs (MHA). The NIA further stated that they initiated action to unearth the larger conspiracy.
