Hyderabad: Hyderabad Collector Anudeep Durishetty on Tuesday asked the revenue department officials to initiate necessary measures to protect 12-acre prime government land worth Rs.1,200 crore on Road No. 12 in Banjara Hills.
He inspected the site and reviewed the progress of fencing works. He also inspected the work done by Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) to determine the boundaries of the government land and to prevent any encroachment on the vacant government land worth Rs.1,200 crore.
The land is located in front of the office of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Survey No. 102/1 on Road No. 12 in Banjara Hills. Galvanized sheets and poles were being used to protect the land, at a cost of Rs 35 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Anudeep Durishetty asked officials to hire more laborers to carry out day and night work to complete the fencing work by Saturday.
He advised officials to put up warning boards at the land stating that the land belongs to the government. Anudeep Durishetty instructed the revenue department officials to register criminal cases against anyone, who tries to encroach the government land and instructed the officials to complete the fencing work at the earliest.
