Impressive ₹60-crore IT Tower on Adilabad outskirts may open by month-end
The state government has received applications from three IT services companies seeking to establish their units in the building along National Highway 44.
Adilabad: Adilabad’s IT Tower, constructed at a cost of ₹60 crore on the outskirts of the town, is ready for inauguration.
The IT Tower is expected to be declared open this month-end by Telangana IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu.
The state government has received applications from three IT services companies seeking to establish their units in the impressive building along the Srinagar-Kanyakumari National Highway 44.
News is also doing rounds that an IT company operating from a private building in Adilabad town may shift to the Adilabad IT Tower.
In addition, startup companies are reportedly interested in the plug-in infrastructure available at the Adilabad IT Tower.
However, an IT professional from Adilabad town wondered if top IT companies would open their branches in Adilabad, since many of these institutions are already downsizing their staff with the emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
On the positive side, he said if everything goes well, the IT Tower can employ nearly 2,000 youth.
The IT professional said there is enough talent pool available in Adilabad district. Companies would not have to pay them high salaries offered in Metro cities.
Existing professionals too would be interested in Adilabad as its cost of living is lower.
The IT Tower is G plus 4 with a total of 50,000 square feet space for accommodating commercial offices, meeting halls, receptions, lounges, and cafeteria.
