HYDRAA Protected Seven Parks Across Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has protected seven park sites from encroachment in a single day, and reclaimed land worth more than Rs 37 crore spanning more than 3,700 sq. yds.
HYDRAA cleared illegal occupations in six parts in Jeedimetla’s Bhagyalakshmi Colony in Quthbullapur. The layout, formed in 1968 across 80 acres with 810 plots, originally had ten parks allotted. However, over the years, six of these park lands were encroached upon.

In another operation in Gudimalkapur’s Asifnagar, HYDRAA protected 1,452 sq. yds of land reserved for a park in the AG Office Cooperative Housing Society layout. HYDRAA received complaints that the land was being misused for running sand businesses, vehicle parking and small trade activities. Officials cleared the site and fenced it to prevent further encroachments.
