HYDRAA, DRF Teams Aid Firefighters in Containing Ameerpet Blaze

Hyderabad:HYDRAA and Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams played a crucial role in containing the fire at a shopping complex near Maitrivanam in Ameerpet on Thursday, assisting fire personnel and preventing the blaze from spreading to neighbouring establishments.

According to HYDRAA officials, DRF teams were alerted immediately after the control room received information about the fire near Metro Pillar No. 1043 on the Ameerpet–SR Nagar stretch at around 12.30 pm. Field-level teams were promptly mobilised and rushed to the spot to support firefighting operations.

Officials said DRF personnel worked in coordination with the fire services department to control the flames and ensured that nearby shops, surrounding buildings and a mess located behind the complex were protected from the fire despite its intensity.

Around 20 DRF personnel, along with RFO Jayaprakash and SFO Chandrasekhar, participated in the operation to bring the situation under control and assist firefighting efforts in the busy commercial area, officials said.
