HYDRAA Clears Encroachments in Peerzadiguda
Ranganath also visited Chengicherla and Boduppal areas following complaints from residents of Sri Matha Aravind Colony about alleged encroachments by a former MLA, including attempts to block property registration
Hyderabad: HYDRAA officials on Wednesday demolished illegal constructions and restored public access to a 30-foot road in Yadadri Residential Colony, Peerzadiguda, where a plot owner had encroached on the road between layout plots.
The action followed a complaint from the Yadadri Residential Welfare Association, which alleged that the SAGE School, owned by Jashwanth Reddy, had illegally occupied the road connecting the colony to Warangal Highway and blocked access with unauthorised structures.
Meanwhile, HYDRAA commissioner A.V. Ranganath inspected Ranganath Nagar in Gopanapally in response to complaints received through the Prajavani public grievance programme. He looked into a petition submitted by the Ranganath Nagar Plot Owners Association, which represents a 184-acre layout developed in 1985 and comprising 850 plots.
The complainants alleged that during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, a group of real estate developers illegally encroached on the layout. Several residents who had constructed houses were reportedly evicted, and their homes demolished. Even the community temple area was not spared from encroachment.
Plot owners said the High Court had ordered GHMC officials, including the deputy commissioner and nodal officer, to resolve the matter within four weeks, but no action had been taken so far. The commissioner assured residents that a meeting with all stakeholders would be held within 10 days and urged them not to worry.
Ranganath also visited Chengicherla and Boduppal areas following complaints from residents of Sri Matha Aravind Colony about alleged encroachments by a former MLA, including attempts to block property registrations. In Shaikpet's OU Colony, he inspected complaints related to illegal road construction and directed plot owners to submit relevant documents for further investigation and action.
