HYDRAA Clears AVB Drain Grab
Encroachments had eaten into 3 metres of the 10-metre wide channel

Hyderabad: HYDRAA officials demolished encroachments on a drain at AVB Puram in Kukatpally on Monday. The nala carries outflow from Parikicheruvu into the Kukatpally nala. Encroachments had eaten into 3 metres of the 10-metre wide channel.
Two shutters were constructed on the drain also occupying the manhole and electronic devices repair works were operating there.
Due to the encroachments, Sai Baba colony, HAL Colony and Maitrinagar were flooded even when there was a drizzle. HMWSSB officials inspected the site and based on their report demolitions were carried by HYDRAA.
