Hyderabad: Traffic Cop Arrested for Manhandling

Hyderabad: A case was registered against a traffic head constable after he allegedly attacked a relative while also threatening to use his power and position against him. The incident happened in the Jubilee Hills police station area on Tuesday and a case was registered.

According to Jubilee Hills SHO K. Venkateswar Reddy, the cop has been identified as Mohd Shahed Khan, Langar Houz traffic head constable, and the complainant is Abdul Moeed. The complainant is the son of the victim - Abdul Waheed.

The victim and the accused reportedly have a property dispute, regarding which there have been constant disputes between the two. Shahed is the brother-in-law of the victim.

On November 19, at around 10 am, while the victim was at his shop in Yousufguda, Shahed entered and after an altercation, the two allegedly hit each other with a helmet. The complainant also alleged that Shahed manhandled his father and allegedly threatened to use his power as a police officer against him.

Following this, a case was registered under Section 118 (1) and 351 (2) of the BNS.
