Hyderabad: The special team from OU police station along with East Zone task force, claimed to have solved a pre-planned murder case of a 58-year-old man, with the arrest of three persons. The arrested revealed that the victim was murdered suspecting that he had been performing black magic on them. Victim Mangu Singh, a resident of Mangalhat, was found murdered at Errakunta Katta in Tarnaka on December 1.

The three persons who confessed their complicity in the crime, were identified as Shaik Ghouse alias Goush, 43, a fish wholesaler and Syed Shoaib, 32, a car driver and MD Ilyas, 20, another driver.

Driven by the belief that their former business partner Mangu Singh was performing black magic on his family, which was causing financial loss in fish business and also spreading rumors that his wife was having affair with other person, prime accused Shaik Ghouse conspired to eliminate Mangu Singh.

As per plan on December 1, Shaik Ghouse along with his son-in-law Shaik Shoheb called Mangu Singh and took him to a location.

J. Narsiah, additional DCP east zone, while disclosing the arrests during a press meet on Wednesday, said, “Initially the victim was unknown. But during investigation, we discovered the whole murder plot hatched by them.”

When Mangu reached Boost Hotel lane at Chilkalguda, Ghouse hit him on the head with an iron rod causing critical injuries to him. The intention was to eliminate the victim, police sources said.

“Both the accused then transported him in Shoeb’s car (registration number TS07 UE 3424) to Yerrakunta Katta in Tarnaka, where victim’s throat was slit using a knife. After getting assured the victim had died, they dumped the body and fled from the scene,” additional DCP said.

The weapon used in the crime had been concealed near the accused’s residence, was later recovered by the police. The car, mobile phones, two bikes and blood-stained clothes were also recovered, he added.

During investigation, it was also found that Ghouse was involved in other criminal cases. The accused along with the seized properties were produced before the court and later sent to judicial remand.
