Hyderabad Stands As Symbol of Harmony, Says Revanth After Khairatabad Ganesh Darshan

Highlighting the government’s support, the CM said Telangana is the only state in the country to provide free electricity to Ganesh pandals.

 Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that Hyderabad stood as a symbol of religious harmony, and in support of all religions. He said Telangana was the only state in the country to provide free electricity to Ganesh pandals.

“We want devotees to celebrate the festival with utmost devotion and not face any problems,” he said, at the Khairatabad ‘Bada’ Ganesh after offering special prayers. He congratulated the Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Samiti on successfully completing 71 years of celebrating the festival.

He conducted special rituals at the 69-feet tall Ganesh idol, along with minister Ponnam Prabhakar, collector Dasari Harichandana, Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender and Chief Minister’s adviser Vem Narender Reddy.

Revanth Reddy said, “We have made special arrangements at Tank Bund and other immersion points to avoid inconvenience to devotees. Our ministers and authorities are vigil, and are making sure devotees face no issues during the Ganesh immersion programme.”

The utsav samiti felicitated the Chief Minister with a shawl and a Ganesh idol at the venue.
