Hyderabad: Srikara Hospital Owner Held In Attack Case

HYDERABAD: Srikara Hospital owner Palle Bhadra Reddy was among three persons arrested by Keesara police in connection with an alleged attempt‑to‑murder case involving a violent attack on a watchman and members of a family at Cheeryal village in Medchal‑Malkajgiri district.
Police said the incident occurred in the early hours of June 6 when Sai Kumar, a watchman living in a container house on disputed land, was attacked by a group of persons. He called complainant Kola Balakrishna for help after some men allegedly tried to pour petrol on him and set him ablaze.
Balakrishna, along with his parents and relatives, rushed to the spot. On intervening, the accused allegedly attacked them with iron rods, axes, hammers, bottles and stones. Balakrishna’s brother sustained severe injuries requiring 10 stitches, while several family members were also hurt.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case against Palle Bhadra Reddy, Srinivas Reddy, Sanjay Kumar Reddy and about 50 others under BNS sections 109, 191(2), 329(3), 324(4) read with 3(5). The charges include abetment, unlawful assembly, rioting, voluntarily causing hurt with dangerous weapons, and offences committed by multiple persons sharing a common intention.
