Hyderabad: Man booked for raping minor

Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police have booked a man for reportedly raping a 15-year-old for over six months. The accused is absconding. Police said the accused had threatened the minor into silence and used to assault her in the absence of her parents.

The case came to light when the victim informed her mother late on Wednesday night and her family booked a complaint with the Banjara Hills police on Thursday. Police registered a case under the Pocso Act against the accused and were tracing him as part of their investigations
