Hyderabad IB Officer Killed in Pahalgam Terror Attack

Hyderabad:An Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer from Hyderabad, Manish Ranjan, was among those shot dead in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir, sources confirmed to Deccan Chronicle.

According to the source, Ranjan had gone on a family vacation to Pahalgam. When he heard gunshots in Baisaran Valley, he asked his wife and two children to move away.

After the incident, when his family tried contacting him, Ranjan’s phone was stated to be out of network coverage area. It was later confirmed by the family that Ranjan was shot dead in the attack.

Rajan was posted in the ministerial section of the IB's Hyderabad office a year ago. He is a native of Bihar.
