HYDERABAD: Personnel of H-FAST conducted an inspection at Sri Sai Ram Foods in Nagole based on leads developed during an earlier raid.

The unit was found using reused cooking oil continuously for five days in the preparation of murukulu. During the inspection, 60 litres of reused oil was discarded. Other violations included non-maintenance of pest control records, absence of medical fitness certificates for food handlers, and lack of food and water analysis reports.

Samples of the reused oil were collected for laboratory analysis. The case has been handed over to the Food Safety Officer for further action.
