Hyderabad:The Hyderabad cybercrime police registered two cases of part-time job fraud on Thursday, with one victim losing over `2.49 lakh and the other `2.08 lakh.

In the first case, the victim received a message on a social messaging app regarding a part-time job offer. Once he responded, the victim was asked to perform tasks like investing through a website. The victim received good returns, and was further asked to invest a huge amount. After the victim invested `2,49,341, and did not get a return, he realised it was a fraud.

The victim reported the same to the cybercrime police, Hyderabad, who registered a case.

The same way, the second victim also received a message on regarding a part time-job offer. He was asked to invest through a website and also received good profits initially. On being asked, he invested `2,08,000. When he tried to withdraw the sum, the fraudster cut off contact.
