Hyderabad Collector Reviews Applications For Ultrasound Centres
Hyderabad Collector Dr Priyanka Ala directed officials to ensure ultrasound centres follow PC & PNDT Act regulations during registration and renewal.
Hyderabad District Collector Dr Priyanka Ala on Wednesday instructed officials concerned to ensure that clinical establishments adhere to regulations for obtaining permission for ultrasound scanning centres.
Collector was conducting a meeting of the district-level appropriate authority committee, under the pre-conception and pre-natal diagnostic techniques act (PC & PNDT Act).
She said statutory regulations and prescribed standards must be strictly followed regarding permissions for the use of ultrasound scanning machines.
“Every application must be examined based on eligibility and feasibility, in accordance with the provisions of the PC & PNDT Act,” she said.
She also asked to evaluate each application on its merits as per regulations. The Collector asked officials to ensure compliance with legal provisions and prescribed standards during the registration and renewal processes for the use of ultrasound scanning machines and technology.
