Hyderabad Braces for Evening Showers, Gusty Winds: IMD

Hyderabad: The city is likely to receive light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds at 40 to 50 kmph on Wednesday evening or night, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
“Temperatures are likely to be around 36°C and 26°C respectively. Surface winds are likely to be Westerlies or North- Westerlies with wind speeds around six to 10 kmph,” the IMD said in a morning local forecast for Hyderabad.
The city registered a maximum temperature of 36.6°C and minimum temperature of 23.7°C. It recorded 015.6 MM rainfall on Tuesday evening.
Meanwhile, heavy rain not only brought traffic to a halt at several places especially in Cyberabad but also impacted power supply till midnight. In East and West Marredpally, power supply that was disrupted at 6.30 pm was restored around 2.30 am on Wednesday leaving the residents in a helpless situation.
