Hyd Cop, Brother Die In Road Mishap

Nalgonda: Two brothers died in a road accident at Banda Ramaram in Thungathurthy mandal, Suryapet district, on Friday. The deceased were identified as Vemula Nagaraju (26) serving as a constable at Panjagutta police station in Hyderabad, and his brother Vemula Kartheek (24), working as a private vehicle driver. They were natives of Malipuram in Tirumalgiri mandal, Suryapet district.

The accident occurred in the early hours of Friday when their motorcycle skidded. Both suffered severe head injuries after falling from the vehicle. Kartheek died on the spot, while Nagaraju succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, Narketpally.

The brothers were returning from their grandmother’s house in Thungathurthy to their native village when the mishap took place. They had come home from Hyderabad to celebrate the Dasara festival.

Their bodies were shifted to the Government Hospital in Thungathurthy.
