Warangal: The District Court sentenced a man to life imprisonment for the gruesome murder of his wife and imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 here in Mahbubabad district on Thursday.
The convict, identified as Kondabathula Naresh, 28, was found guilty of killing his 20-year-old wife, Saritha, after deceiving her under the pretext of a hospital visit.
According to the prosecution, the victim’s mother Janjirala Venkatamma had earlier filed a complaint stating that Naresh frequently harassed and physically abused Saritha due to his unfounded suspicions about her character. Due to this domestic violence, Saritha was living at her parents’ home with her two children.
