Huppuguda Station Gets Rs 26.81-cr Makeover Soon

Hyderabad:Huppuguda railway station, a centrally located stop in the Old City of Hyderabad, is being redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS) at an estimated cost of Rs 26.81 crore.

Classified as a suburban Grade 3 station, Huppuguda is situated between Falaknuma and Kacheguda, catering to passengers from the southern part of the city. It records an average daily footfall of 5,000 passengers, many of whom commute to the western parts of the city, such as Hi-Tech City and Lingampalli, for work and business purposes. Around 50 trains, mainly suburban services, operate through the station daily.
SCR officials stated that the redevelopment works are progressing at a brisk pace and the upgradation represents a major transformation effort, with the vision of equipping stations with world-class facilities.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones for station redevelopment projects in August 2023 and February 2024.
