HMDA Nod for Paradise-Shamirpet Corridor: IT Mininster

The minister noted that over 100 acres of defence land had already been acquired through official arrangements

Hyderabad: Information and technology minister D. Sridhar Babu on Monday informed the Legislative Assembly that the HMDA was proceeding with land acquisition to build an elevated corridor from Paradise Junction to Shamirpet and was committed to completing the corridor within a year.

Replying to BJP MLA Palvai Harish Babu in the Assembly, the minister noted that over 100 acres of defence land had already been acquired through official arrangements, while private land acquisition was also under way.

The HMDA is working on two elevated corridors — Paradise Junction–Shamirpet and Paradise Junction–Dairy Farm Road. Sridhar Babu explained that the Shamirpet corridor will require 114 acres of defence land and 78 acres of private land, while the Dairy Farm Road corridor will need 42 acres of defence land and 13 acres of private land.
