High Number of Uncollectable Enumeration Forms Reported in SIR

Adilabad:A considerable number of Uncollectable Enumeration Forms (UEFs) have been reported in Mancherial, Adilabad and Kumaram Bheem districts during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

The SIR exercise ended on Monday, the last date for applying for inclusion of names in the electoral roll.

The UEF category includes deceased, untraceable or absent voters, those who have permanently shifted, and those already enrolled, according to officials.

In Sirpur (T) Assembly constituency, 24,959 UEFs were reported out of 2,28,916 enumeration forms distributed, accounting for 10.90 per cent. In Asifabad constituency, 23,201 UEFs were reported out of 2,26,680 forms, accounting for 10.24 per cent.

Mancherial Assembly constituency reported 65,660 UEFs out of 2,83,299 forms, accounting for 23.18 per cent.

In Boath Assembly constituency, 23,517 UEFs were reported out of 2,16,391 forms distributed.

Kolam Adivasis, classified as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG), living in interior areas reportedly faced difficulties in tracing their voting details from the 2002 electoral rolls and filling and submitting the enumeration forms to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Boath constituency.

Adilabad Assembly constituency reported 39,893 UEFs out of 2,50,393 forms distributed.

Overall, 63,417 UEFs were reported in Adilabad district out of 4,66,784 enumeration forms distributed.
