Hyderabad: Following heavy rain in Hyderabad and other parts of the state on Monday, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy directed district collectors and officials concerned to be on high alert.

Speaking at a meeting with officials, he directed all departments to work in coordination and take relief up measures in low-lying areas.

In view of the IMD forecast that the state would witness rain in the next three days, Revanth Reddy instructed the collectors to review the situation with the relevant departments and take precautions to avoid loss to life and property.

The Chief Minister also ordered that officials should be available round the clock in the districts and respond to any reports of distress quickly. The senior officials were told to review the situation with district collectors and disaster management teams should quickly deployed for relief operations, the CM said.
