Harish Slams Revanth for Venomous Attack on KCR
Harish Rao further said Revanth Reddy’s “cheap insults to crass one-liners,” while addressing students, degraded the dignity of his office.” He accused the Chief Minister of using students as props while delivering a political monologue.
Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader and former minister T. Harish Rao on Wednesday said, “Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s obsession with BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is turning venomous, and his speeches today show how rattled he is after the BRS’ hugely successful silver jubilee public meeting in Warangal district.”
Harish Rao said Revanth Reddy, in two speeches at Ravindra Bharati, one at the Basaveswara Jayanti celebrations, and other after releasing the SSC results, “indulged in cheap political stunts, and his language and conduct at government functions was disgraceful and unworthy of the Chief Minister’s Office.”
“Revanth Reddy can’t sleep, can’t focus — his words today were nothing but political poison,” Harish Rao, speaking with reporters, said. “The Revanth Reddy government is in a freefall and every community feels betrayed. People are watching Revanth like Krishna watched Sisupala and allowed a 100 mistakes. The people will respond at the right time. Do not beg KCR to take your name. He doesn’t entertain the uncultured,” Harish Rao said referring to the chief minister pointing out how the BRS president did not mention his name at the April 27 BRS public meeting.
He also accused the government of playing with students’ emotions by rescheduling the release of SSC results twice by the Chief Minister and called it a “a PR stunt at the cost of lakhs of anxious students. The results were delayed, timings were changed twice, and finally declared at 2.30 pm, just so Revanth could take the spotlight. This is shameless politicisation of students’ futures.”
