Nalgonda: BRS deputy floor leader in Telangana State Legislative Assembly T. Harish Rao on Tuesday alleged that Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy is practising blackmailing politics, which is not acceptable in a democracy.

Speaking at a meeting of the families evicted from Survey No. 218 at Raghunadhapalem in Khammam, he reminded that the earlier BRS government had paid Rs 19,000 crore for reimbursement of tuition fee to students studying in private colleges during its nine and half years of tenure.

The Congress government has not paid a single rupee towards fee reimbursement during the last two-and-a-half years, which is causing inconvenience to students.

Harish Rao said the CM is blackmailing managements of private colleges over payment of pending tuition fee reimbursements. He has also similarly blackmailed private hospital managements when they sought repayment of pending amounts under Rajiv Aarogyasri.

The BRS leader criticised Revanth Reddy over HYDRAA demolishing houses of the poor, wondering whether this is the Indiramma rajyam that the state government is projecting. Harish Rao said the TG Chief Minister should know that his tenure will last only for another two years and five months.
