The inauguration ceremony was graced by Minister Duddila Sridhar BabuGaru as the Chief Guest, in the august presence of His Grace Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji, President, Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation India (HKMCF India) and Regional President, The Akshaya Patra Foundation (Telangana & Andhra Pradesh), besides public representatives, eminent dignitaries, special guests, patrons, Government officials, and HKMCF India functionaries.
Equipped with modern technology and advanced food production practices, the state-of-the-art Centralized Community Kitchen will prepare and deliver fresh, hot, and nutritious breakfasts to Government School children on every school working day.
This project is the result of a collaborative partnership between the Government of Telangana, Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation India (HKMCF India), and Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. While the Government of Telangana provided an 8000 sq. ft. shed at the Agricultural Market Yard, Manthani, SCCL funded the construction of the kitchen, and HKMCF India established the modern facility and will operate it under the Government's Telangana School Breakfast Programme.
This inauguration reaffirmed the Government's commitment to ensuring nutritious breakfasts for Government School children through collaborative efforts with HKMCF India and CSR partners.
To ensure that every child receives not only a hot and hygienic breakfast but also a nutritious and enjoyable meal, HKMCF India has developed a carefully planned, diverse menu endorsed by National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) along with a partnership with Indian Institute of Millet Research (IIMR)that varies each school day.
Speaking at the inauguration, Duddila Sridhar Babu expressed immense happiness and a deep sense of fulfillment at dedicating this Centralized Kitchen to the children of his home constituency. With deep affection and reverence, he recalled his cherished personal bond of over 14 years with HKMCF's leadership, particularly with Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Swamiji, and fondly reminisced about the year 2012 when he, as the then Minister for Civil Supplies, had approached HKMCF with a humble request to provide free meals to patients' attendants in government hospitals — a seed of compassion that has since blossomed into the landmark Indiramma Canteens and Bhojanamritaprogrammes, today nourishing thousands of the needy across the state. He commended HKMCF as the Government's most trusted implementing partner for the flagship Telangana School Breakfast Programme and acknowledged the invaluable CSR contribution of Singareni Collieries Company Limited in providing state-of-the-art machinery and equipment for this kitchen.
Lauding the Foundation's absolute commitment to cleanliness, purity and nutritional quality — standards he personally witnessed during his facility tour — the Minister praised HKMCF's integration of Artificial Intelligence and real-time automated tracking systems that seamlessly monitor vehicle departure, route, school arrival and meal handover timings, with live data flowing simultaneously to local teams and the central office in Hyderabad. He showered special praise on HKMCF's extraordinary achievement of setting up the entire centralized kitchen infrastructure in a record 45 days — a feat that would ordinarily take several months under conventional systems — crediting the Foundation's highly educated, selfless leadership and their rare combination of spiritual dedication and professional discipline. Expressing heartfelt gratitude for HKMCF's unwavering commitment to reaching the most remote and underserved communities — choosing to serve where others seldom venture — the Minister affirmed that this is not merely a kitchen but a centre of hope and nourishment for Telangana's children, and called upon HKMCF to expand this partnership across Peddapalli, Bhupalpally and beyond, firmly believing that a child who begins the day nourished begins the day empowered, and a generation fed well today shall lead Telangana with strength and pride tomorrow.
