Hand Over Education Portfolio to a Young Leader: Ramchander Rao to Revanth
NRR pointed out that the BJP had recently elected Nitin Nabin as its national president, saying the party provides opportunities to young leaders.
Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Monday criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, alleging that the State government was putting the future of students at risk by delaying the release of fee reimbursement funds. He demanded that Revanth Reddy give up the Education portfolio and entrust it to a younger leader.
Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress government was anti-student and anti-society. He further claimed that a major scam was going on in the name of constructing Gurukul institutions and alleged that students were falling ill after consuming food served in the schools.
He also accused the Chief Minister of trying to divert public attention from the fee reimbursement issue by proposing that the minimum age to contest elections be reduced to 21 years.
Questioning the Congress leadership, Ramchander Rao asked whether the party was willing to replace its national president, Mallikarjun Kharge, with a younger leader if it was genuinely committed to promoting youth in politics.
He pointed out that the BJP had recently elected Nitin Nabin as its national president, saying the party provides opportunities to young leaders.
Ramchander Rao further alleged that the Chief Minister was raising new issues to divert attention from the government's failures. He also sought answers from the Congress government on its election promises, including the unemployment allowance, two lakh government jobs, and other commitments made to the people.
