Hanamkonda Collector Inspects Boys’ Hostel
Hanamkonda collector Chahat Bajpai inspected a BC welfare boys’ hostel at Gokul Nagar, reviewing food, sanitation, drinking water, CCTV and other facilities.
Hanamkonda district collector Chahat Bajpai on Monday conducted a surprise inspection of the BC welfare department-run boys’ hostel at Gokul Nagar and reviewed the facilities being provided to students.
During the inspection, Bajpai enquired about the number of students residing in the hostel, their places of origin and staff details. She also checked the functioning of CCTV cameras and inspected essential provisions, including pulses, rice and eggs, besides seeking details about their procurement and supply.
The collector inspected the kitchen and reviewed the food preparation process. Interacting with the students, she enquired about the breakfast served that day and whether they found it satisfactory.
She also reviewed the progress of repair works at the kitchen shed and directed officials to ensure proper drainage to prevent water stagnation. She called for necessary measures to conserve rainwater.
Bajpai inspected the drinking water facilities, sanitation and other basic infrastructure at the hostel. She instructed the warden to ensure that the premises and toilets were kept clean and that there were no lapses in hostel management.
Addressing the students, the collector urged them to make the best use of the facilities provided by the government and concentrate on their studies. She asked them to set clear goals and work towards achieving them.
In-charge BC welfare officer Laxman and other officials were present during the inspection.
